Copy Editor Service

THE SERVICE:  Corrections and suggestions will be made in grammar, sentence construction, word selection, punctuation, and style for your writing.  The objective is clarity in communication with your intended readers through improvements in the submitted copy.  This is not a re-write service, however.  A guide will be provided for the editorial marks and directions.

THE DEAL:  General business, marketing/sales, articles, training and related materials are accepted.  Technical, medical and legal documents are not accepted.  Documents will be done at the rate of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per hour, on a quarter-hour basis after a one hour minimum.

WHAT TO EXPECT:  I work in red, so it's easy to see, and won't be confused with any links that may be in your copy.  You'll get back what you wrote, with my corrections and suggestions clearly marked.  Sometimes this involves my writing a line or two to explain the problem.  I will neither judge nor criticize you, that's up to your mate or Significant Other…  I'll just help you be the best "written you" we can produce together.  (I will constructively criticize your writing - that's part of what I do!)

DETAILS:  Acceptable formats are Word or email (.eml).

Every effort will be made to meet your schedule.  The greater lead time allowed, the more likely that will be.  If it appears from the beginning that I won't be able to meet the deadline, I will refuse the project.

You may have questions about what I do, or you may have something you'd like me to work on, or who knows?  If so, gimme a holler by clicking here to send an email, and we'll talk about it.  If you want to make it through my email defenses, you must put Nitpicker in the Subject line.

Please do not send me any materials that we have not discussed.  Stuff that just appears in my mailbox unexpectedly will disappear into the digital dumpster.
