Keeping the Critters Fed

I can NOT believe it snowed in Louisiana again! The yard was covered with it this morning. All my poor little critters were wandering around looking for food they couldn't see.

My patio has a partial roof that goes over the patio out to about four feet from the house. I call it the porch. I finally just put bird seed, sunflower seeds, bread crumbs, wheat puffs and corn all over the porch.

My little January birds (who haven't left yet), the doves, cardinals, blue-jays - even Reginald pigeon - came right up on the porch to eat. Then, the ducks and Rascal, the squirrel, joined them.

I guess they were all hungry enough to decide to team up together instead of any of them running off the rest. Pretty amazing, actually - especially because I was sitting at my computer right on the other side of that patio door!

So help me, it looked like I was livin' in a barn! Luckily, they were really quite courteous about not leaving their deposits for me to clean up.

I suppose my next move will have to be to the Caribbean. I know I whine and carry on about the smallest amount of snow. But, to those who have suffered through the blizzards, up North, I can assure you, I KNOW about that, too.

I've spent time in Kansas City, Louisville, Nashville, even Chicago. I've experienced snow up to my ol' wazoo - and just never want to do it, again! Electricity out and butt-cold outside, snow tires, chains, shovels, falling tree limbs, dead car batteries, big, sloppy snow boots and ugly caps with ear-muffs, idiots using cars as sleds, ARRGGGHHH!

Pushing Your Luck

It's over six weeks past the deadline for being in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) latest guidelines. Not everyone was able to meet the deadline, and in reality, there's always a bit of time before they start checking.

However, I wouldn't push it much further. If you still don't have the correct legal documents on your websites, especially the ones dealing with testimonials and affiliate disclosures, AutoWebLaw Pro is still far and away your best bargain!

Not to mention, you'll have every document you could ever need for your online business! Other sites charge twice as much for about a dozen documents. AWLP has nearly 70!

And, before I sign off, today, how would you like to see something so awesome, I'm pretty sure it can't be done? And, yet - she does it!

Can't be Done

Keeping the Critters Fed

Yes, the wildlife never fails to amaze me - which I guess everyone knows, by now. They seem to adapt to whatever situation they find themselves in. Also seem to have a LOT more sense than our so-called "human" species!

ET will bite me if he wants to, but the wild ones don't. Of course, he lives inside and thinks he's a kid! ;-) jl

Keeping the Critters Fed

It's nice to know that you got a 'taste ' of the white stuff and how you so graciously 'fed the critters'!

I live in [sunny] Southern Alberta, Canada, where we have a 'reasonable' amount of snow - good for the farmers. I especially liked the part about them "living together", which is something 'we' have to learn to do - all over again!

Thanks for your insight; for the "pushing your luck" pix; and for the "can't be done"...
