About that Trillion Dollars

Last week, I was discussing how many folks (including me) can't even fathom the amount of a trillion dollars. Right after I published that, I saw something to show what a trillion dollars looks like.

Tracking the U.S. Congress

For those interested in U.S. Federal legislation ... On this site, you can track a bill either by subject, or bill number - House and Senate. You can then write to or call your Representatives and Senators about your concerns.

I apologize to our international readers for the selectivity of this information. However, since the USA supposedly has such an influence on what happens over the entire planet, you may also be interested. If nothing else, you're bound to get a good laugh, or two.

This link helps you keep tabs on the U.S. Congress. The site is not affiliated with the U.S. government; it is non-commercial, non-partisan, and an open source project.

Whether you're new, or an experienced marketer, you should be putting in some effort to creating backlinks, or links pointing to your website, from other sites.

You want to create as many backlinks from other sites as you can. A well visited site also means that search engine spiders are more than likely also visiting, and spidering, it for new content. When a spider finds a new link it generally follows it and spiders that site also.

Creating backlinks and generating targeted visitors using no cost resources can be easier than you think.

One perception you may need to change is how you can create backlinks and generate targeted traffic using no cost resources.

You should be spending most of your time on ways to generate traffic to your site or sales pages in an effort to increase your overall revenue... instead of reading dozens of sales letters for the latest "must have" products or lurking in forums or reading blogs without posting anything.

Visiting forums and blogs and leaving a comment with a link back to your site is not only a great, and acceptable, way to create backlinks to your site, it is also an extremely good way to build brand recognition for yourself as an expert.

If you run across a blog that has a "no follow" tag you may still want to leave a comment and a link on it if it looks to have good popularity and following. There is no telling how much traffic your comment may directly generate for your site.

If you're doing either of the above and you are allowed to leave a comment - do it. By leaving just one short comment on any blog where you're allowed you created a backlink to your website.

Google loves backlinks and so do all the other search engines. By using this backlinking strategy, you've just created a back door traffic stream to your site.
