Hi Everyone!

The first subject I want to discuss, today, is my immediate plan for this newsletter. As most of you know, last week I removed the option for the autoresponder and delivered directly into your inbox.

Changes always require some extra housekeeping. We'll do now. I screwed up the subject line on last week's issue. It will be as today's: [iCop's OBTJ] “Topic Description”

At least, we'll try that for a while. If we have any delivery problems, we'll change it to simply the name of the publication.

I will OFTEN add a free download to our issues. The only trick is you'll need to look for them. They will be in varied places within the issues.

EVERY week, I'll deliver something valuable - at NO cost to you! It will be information, resources, software, an ebook, etc. or any combination of same.

I will also run the tried and true products and information for building a business. Some free - some not. But, all things needed for a successful online business.

I want to mention right here ... Anything I give you to download, I've already downloaded myself. And everything has been virus checked on my computer.

That can't be a guarantee, of course, but after I have five different programs give it an “all clear,” I think you're fairly safe.

Celebrating 10 YEARS!

iCop is celebrating 10 years online. Bet not many thought we'd last THIS long! Other organizations, patterned after iCop, have come and gone. But, we remain. WE have the brand and the sterling reputation.

Others' reputations suffer right from the beginning - simply by virtue of the fact that they HAVE copied our business. I can't tell you how many times I've had to go in and raise hell over outright plagiarism from iCop's web site. Others, I don't bother with.

If you want to be known as an “internet marketer,” and just want someone to take your money, there are other groups that can't wait to have you. They'll also give you some tacky-ass seal, for no other reason than that you draw breath and gave them the required fee.

iCop is another story. And, I can't take all the credit.

Although it's common knowledge that over 99% of online businesses fail, we still have 75% of our first members from 1999 and 2000. Here's what that tells you ...

• iCop members are SERIOUS business people
• iCop demands our members be highly ethical and customer oriented
• iCop weeds OUT any members who are NOT serious, ethical and customer oriented

Oooooooops!

I started out writing about that ten years for a reason. After a number of years in online business, it becomes time to take stock. This is true no matter how SUCCESSFUL your business is.

Often, we do things by rote and forget WHY we do them. Or, we've forgotten half of what we learned. We don't think that's true, but the little details begin to escape us.

SO:

Due to that fact ...

AND

Due to the fact that so MANY new people are starting online businesses ...

AND

Due to the fact that “old” businesses need to take stock and make revisions more in line with today's economy ...

I want to give our readers pertinent information in the form of articles - written by folks who KNOW. That could be YOU!

I can rock on about the economy, or various governments, or scams, or privacy concerns, or advertising low-down tricks or any of a bazillion topics.

BUT ...

Let's get back to what WORKS in online business. Let's get back to helping others with what we've learned!

With so few real newsletters these days, new folks don't have the opportunity to learn the way us old-timers did. So, let's use this one to teach!

If you are an experienced online business owner, please send me your articles for possible use in this newsletter. All I ask is that they be reasonably well edited and of interest to anyone interested in online business.

I'm thinking “How to ...” articles might be at the top of the pile.
